Microsoft previews the “new” FrontPage

Microsoft has released the follow-on to FrontPage as a Technology Preview

Microsoft’s Office suite includes FrontPage as a web design tool. With the upcoming release of Office 12 and its integration with Sharepoint Services, FrontPage was demoted to “Sharepoint Designer.” The obvious question was whether FrontPage was to be used in two environments, Sharepoint and a general web design tool.
Now Microsoft has released their next version of a web design tool. The product is in early beta, so bugs, crashes, odd behavior, and feature changes are probably par for the course. More information and the downloadable file is available from Microsoft.
I’ve just started working with the preview, and since I’m testing it in Virtual PC running on a mac, I expect even more flakiness than usual. Your mileage may vary.
